Why You Should Work With a REALTOR® for Property Rentals

Did you know a REALTOR® can also help you find a rental?

Yep - we don’t only work with home buyers and sellers! Many REALTORs® (myself included) do a lot of work with renters to help them find a place even if they’re not in the market to buy a home right now. And there are actually a lot of benefits to working with a REALTOR® as a renter! Here’s a few reasons you should work with a real estate agent to help you find a rental:

1. We know the market

Especially right now, the market is crazy - and that doesn’t stop at the rental market! Many of the rental properties I’ve shown lately have multiple applications and are gone within days of being listed.

As a renter, it’s tough to navigate a market like this on your own. But REALTORs® are used to working in markets like this, and can help create a plan to make sure you find what you’re looking for in a rental (even with all the competition!).

2. Finding a place can be a full-time job

If you’ve searched for a rental before, you know how time-consuming the process can be. Checking new listings can be a full-time job, and most people don’t have the time to stay on top of that. But the nice thing is, that’s one of the responsibilities of a REALTOR®. We’re always staying on top of listings that match your criteria, and as soon as we see one, we can send it to you or even preview it ahead of time to see if it matches what you’re looking for. That way, we can move quickly and get you into it if it’s something you’re interested in.

3. We know the process

Not only do we know the market, but REALTORs® have a lot of background knowledge about the ins and outs of the rental process, general criteria, and the steps required to get everything done as smoothly as possible. We can help streamline the process to make it as easy for you as possible, stay in communication with the listing agent/property management office, and make sure the paperwork is moving along as it should.

4. BONUS: It doesn’t cost a renter anything!

Same as when you buy a home, working with a REALTOR® to find a rental doesn’t cost you anything! We’re paid by the landlord or property management office, which means using a real estate agent is totally free to you as a renter.

I’ve been working with quite a few renters lately to help them navigate this crazy rental market, and I’d love to help you out too! If you’re looking for a rental in Las Vegas, send me a message here with any questions or what you’re looking for!
