6 Bible Verses to Write in Your House While Renovating

When my husband and I renovated our last house, we took advantage of the walls and floor being open to write a few bible verses on the studs and subfloors of our house. It was such a special way to literally incorporate some of our favorite scriptures into the foundation of the house, and it’s a great way to bless your new home!

Now we’re renovating our next home (a much bigger project than our last) and I wanted to do this again, especially now that we have kids and this will be the home we raise our family in. If you’re renovating or even building a new home, I would highly recommend doing this to bless the home - and create some amazing special memories writing scriptures in your house together as a family!

Here are a few scriptures we wrote in our house during our renovation!

On the entry wall/living room:

Matthew 18:20 Bible Verses in Home During Renovation

Matthew 18:20

“For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.”

On the entry wall:

Deuteronomy 28:6 Bible Verses to Write in Your House During Renovation or Construction

Deuteronomy 28:6

“You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.”

Over our son’s room/play room:

Jeremiah 29:11 Bible Verses to Write in Your House During Renovation or Construction

Jeremiah 29:11

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’” declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Under the dining table:

Acts 2:46

“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”

In the kitchen/main support beams:

2 Samuel 7:29

“And with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever.”
