Idaho Falls Date Night Ideas

Valentine’s Day is coming up, so I figured there was no better time to talk about some of my favorite date night ideas in Idaho Falls! There are so many fun things to do in Idaho Falls (and in eastern Idaho in general), especially for fun and romantic date nights! Check out some of my ideas:

Heise Hot Springs

There’s a ton of hot springs in Idaho, and this one is close by! Heise hot springs is in Ririe (about 15-20 minutes from Idaho Falls). It’s a great thing to do with family for a fun way to spend the day, or a unique date night out. What’s more romantic than relaxing in a natural hot tub together?

Idaho Falls Riverwalk

One of my favorite things to do here is go for a walk on the riverwalk! It’s right downtown, with a beautiful park along the Snake River. It’s gorgeous any time of year, but in the winter all the trees are lit up and you can usually see the river and the falls frozen! (Bonus: from May through October the Idaho Falls’ Farmer’s Market is held right across from the riverwalk on Memorial Drive on Saturday mornings!)

Labelle Lake Ice Palace

This time of year, Labelle Lake Ice Palace is a must! It’s super fun with family but is also a great, unique experience for a date night! It’s in Rigby (about 20 minutes north of Idaho Falls). In addition to the amazing ice palace they build every year, they also have a few food trucks, reindeer, fire shows, and more.

Reed’s Dairy

Reed’s Dairy is a local dairy farm that started in the 50s here in Idaho Falls! Their business started as a milk delivery business, and has grown in the years since then. Now they have a store in town where you can buy fresh ice cream, milk, cheese, and even sandwiches. It’s a great way to end your date night (or even just go for the whole thing, honestly). Their chocolate milk is also very well known around here, so make sure you grab some when you stop by!

Escape Room

There’s a few escape rooms in Idaho Falls (Idaho Escape Rooms and Gnarly Escapes). Both are a super fun, have different rooms, and are a great way to get out of your comfort zone and get to know each other in a different environment!

Go Hiking

Eastern Idaho has some AMAZING hiking! From Palisades, Mesa Falls, Island Park, and more, there’s no shortage of great hiking around. In the winter, those same areas are perfect for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling!

Explore Yellowstone

Okay, this isn’t technically a date NIGHT, but one of my favorite parts of living in Idaho Falls is how close we are to Yellowstone! Idaho Falls is only about an hour and a half from the West Yellowstone entrance. It’s an easy day trip to make, and is always amazing to explore. Even in the off season (November through May), you can go on snowmobile tours through the park! How cool of a date is that?!
