What I Put in Our Nurse Thank You Baskets

We’re only a couple days away from meeting our second baby! One of the things I checked off my to-do list today was putting together our “thank you” baskets for our labor and delivery and postpartum nurses at the hospital. I know this isn’t a necessity but we did this with our first baby and I just thought it was a nice gesture for all the nurses taking care of us while we’re in the hospital! Here’s what I included in ours!

Nurse Thank You Baskets

To start, I got some simple white baskets from Walmart (I can’t find the exact ones I used but I’ll like some similar ones below - super affordable!). I used two, one for the labor and delivery unit and one for the postpartum unit. I’ve also seen people make individual goodie bags as a little thank you for the nurses, which is a great idea too!

Luckily, my cousin is a nurse, so I had some input from her on what nurses would appreciate in a thank you basket. She told me “snacks and coffee,” which is where I was already headed, so I went that route! Of course, I’m very into food and clean eating, so I tried to keep most of what I included clean and healthy for the nurses working long hours! I put in some of my favorite snacks, including Simple Mills chocolate chip cookies, individual bags of popcorn, granola bars, some instant coffee packets, and a couple other items. Here’s a breakdown of everything I put in our nurse baskets!

If you’re thinking of making some nurse thank you baskets, I highly recommend! It doesn’t have to cost a lot (I spent under $45 for all of this!), but I know it’s so appreciated!
